This extended duration allows you to sink deeper into each pose, gradually unlocking areas of tension and encouraging a greater sense of ease within your body. Universal Hatha is rooted in the Universal Yoga system developed by Master Andrey Lappa through decades of personal practice, study, and exploration of traditional Hatha Yoga.
Hatha is traditionally understood as a path of bringing opposing forces into balance-strength and softness, effort and surrender, movement and stillness-using the body and breath as tools for working with the mind and our inner state. Universal Yoga expands this approach into a multidimensional practice designed to create balance not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and energetically. Through thoughtfully structured sequences, conscious breathing, concentration, and deep awareness, we gradually move beyond habitual patterns and toward a greater sense of inner freedom. Find your freedom. For some, that freedom may be the profound relaxation that comes when the nervous system deeply relaxes. For a dedicated practitioner, the practice may become a pathway inward and beyond the fluctuations of the mind and conditioned patterns, toward deeper awareness, inner wisdom, and connection with the Self. This is a practice of balance, awareness, and liberation. All levels are welcome. Come as you are, practice deeply, and discover your own experience of freedom.
Foundations of Yoga is a slower-paced, alignment-focused class designed to build a stronger foundation for your practice. In faster-paced classes, we don't always have enough time to notice the small details of alignment. Over time, repeated misalignment can become a habit. In this class, we slow everything down and give the body time to learn a more stable, balanced, and intelligent way of practicing. Inspired by the Iyengar method and an understanding of human anatomy and physiology, we will use chairs, blocks, belts, blankets, and other props to create greater stability, support, and awareness in each posture. Props aren't used to make the practice "easier”, they help us experience poses with greater precision and discover what proper alignment actually feels like. Each class will explore a balanced range of asanas, including forward bends, backbends, twists, side stretches, standing poses, and supported inversions, with modifications for different bodies and abilities. We will also incorporate pranayama and restorative elements to release unnecessary tension, settle the nervous system, and create greater awareness.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners who want to refine their alignment and build a healthier foundation for lifelong practice.
This welcoming class introduces Vinyasa yoga basics by connecting mindful breathing with gentle movement. We will practice simple Sun Salutations and a gentle flow, holding poses for several breaths to focus on alignment and build confidence. Every body is different. Expect thoughtful modifications and personal attention so you can meet the practice exactly where you are.

In everyday life, we tend to use a limited range of movement patterns, leaving certain muscle groups underused and less connected to our overall movement awareness. Over time, more familiar muscles begin to compensate, creating unnecessary tension and inefficient movement.
Our Functional Movement Yoga classes are designed to reawaken these neglected areas through safe, unconventional movement patterns and varied points of support. These challenges encourage the nervous system to develop new movement strategies, improving strength, coordination, body awareness, and control.
This approach transforms yoga from simply repeating poses into a practice of restoring the body’s natural movement intelligence, making movement safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable. Join our Functional Movement Yoga classes and discover a new dimension of movement, awareness, and body control.
